Made up makeup

We are definitely feeling the adventurous makeup vibes at the moment here at Puckoo! It’s party season, and we’re after a look that has us standing out from the rest.

We’ve been browsing Youtube for some good how-to’s, and have found a couple of creams of the crop.

This video, by Pixi Woo, is amazing!  We realise she creates  a very dramatic look, but we’re just taking a few bits from it-  like how useful is the bit on pritt-sticking eyebrows to make a new shape?! And we love what she does with the red eye shadow and the eye liner, perfect for our xmas party outfits.

We also love this look by Moam Network, it’s so fresh and fun. We will definitely be rocking it at a club night soon! Leopard print+ pastel colours= tropical heat to warm up winter nights!

We hope you found the tutorials as inspiring as we did. Stay tuned for tips from our own makeup artists!

Two days, three fashion shows!

Wow, what an inspiring few days we had last week!

First, on the Thursday, there was the show at Hamilton House, Bristol, for all the designers based there, including us =). It was lots of fun, really nice to see everybody, and Butzi, the organiser, had set the event space up so beautifully. We love love loved the romantic style flower lights. I may have to get some for the boudoir. The hats featured by Fifi Venus Millinery were wicked, you should definitely check them out now it is getting close to Halloween and Christmas, they are the perfect spectacle for completing that party outfit.

Then on Friday, Dionne went  to show at new Bristol youth venue, The Station, and I went to London for the Sorapol catwalk…

A big thank you to lovely Natalie Dundh, who helped Dionne with the dressing of our models for the Station show- don’t know what we would have done without you! It was really lovely to see loads of youths getting involved. Such a nice project they have there. Our good friend Katcha Bilek was also there, showing her amazing line of recycled accessories. Dutty Girl were also representing, along with the amazinnnnggg Celia Arias. Her collection was incredible!

Puckoo rocked it!

On to Sorapollllllllllllll! An amazing performance in an underground car park in Soho, London, which took me so long to find! They drove in a crazy motorbike that looked like it could have been used in Tron. All the models had these strange, doll like, net masks on. They less walked than hobbled starry eyed down the catwalk, as if the audience had stumbled in on them whilst they were on some almighty bender. The ecstasy vibes were fluent throughout the collection, which included neon colours, drug capsule beading and a jaw dropping finishing piece in the form of a dress with a real working double headed guitar. A true fashion SHOW.

We loved this outfit! Wantttt!

The finishing outfit- wowwwwaweeewahhh!

The masks and wigs were an amazing idea!

All in all, a perfect few days. And, check out the sunset at the end of that weekend... lush!

We can’t wait to see what the next few weeks have to offer!
